Much of  the Alliance's  advocacy work is focused on advancing the  use of research-based knowledge as a
central organizing concept for school improvement and education reform.

We see ahead a new knowledge era in education reform in which the escalating demand for school
improvement solutions is matched  by a growing supply of research-based innovation.

And we envision a robust , responsive and rigorous R&D infrastructure in which researchers, developers,
practitioners and policy makers work together to develop and apply research-based knowledge to critical
education problems.

We work closely with the US Congress, US Department of Education and other federal agencies on funding,
policy and implementation issues.
